Academic Papers

In this session you can have access to all theses, dissertations and monographs published by the members of the Group. All these academic papers are course completion papers. If the dear navigator is unaware of the difference between each type of academic work, we take care to clarify it here.

Monograph

Monograph is an academic work Lato sensu (Latin expression meaning broad meaning). Monograph is a study presented for completion of undergraduate and graduate courses (specialization and MBA) in Brazil. It does not need to present unpublished academic results and its etymology already makes it clear that a single theme will be addressed in a dissertation form, obeying a rigorous methodology.

Dissertation

The dissertation is a Stricto sensu (strict sense) works. The dissertation validates the master’s degree. It may or may not address unpublished themes, where the author uses a scientific investigative method, and is characterized by the individual’s contribution to the theme addressed. Dissertations are encouraged to incorporate empirical research materials (interviews, participant observation, etc.) and not just work with the compilation of books or known articles on the subject addressed.

Thesis

Like the dissertation, the thesis is a Stricto sensu (strict sense) works. The thesis completes the doctorate. It excels at the originality of the theme and is the result of complex and in-depth investigation of an unprecedented theme. It is the answer to a question, obtained from an exhaustive scientific research and work.
