Law and Politics in the Supreme Court Federal: lessons from the period of the civil-military dictatorship of 1964-1985
On the morning of 04/17, the conference “Law and Politics in the Supreme Court – lessons from the period of the civil-military dictatorship of 1964-1985”, promoted by Ius Commune, took place. The event, linked to the Course of Legal History 2018, is part of the ongoing research presentation of Professor Rafael Mafei (USP), which investigates the performance of ministers of the Supreme Federal Court at another politically sensitive moment in Brazilian history, in which there was social polarization and internal disputes to the court related to them. The objective was to discuss in historical perspective a current problem of the Supreme Court.
